Bestobell Marine has received a major new order to supply the Middle East’s first LNG (liquefied natural gas) fuelled harbour tug.
The order will see Bestobell Marine supply a complete set of cryogenic globe valves to be fitted in the LNG-Pac fuel gas system for a new harbour tug design which will be built at Dubai Drydocks. The new tug will use LNG as the primary fuel and will be operated by Dubai Maritime City.

United Arab Emirates-based TASNEEF, the Class Society for the project, will provide classification and advisory services for the LNG fuel project. Bestobell Marine’s extensive experience in dealing with a variety of Class Societies will be beneficial in meeting these requirements.

Bestobell Marine, part of the President Engineering Group, has received its third order in the past 12 months from Hudong Zhonghua shipyard in China.
The deal involves the supply of cryogenic miniature needle globe valves for four Teekay/CNOOC/China Shipping Group LNG (liquefied natural gas) Carriers to be built at the shipyard, which will be chartered by BG Group.
Bestobell Marine has already secured orders for its cryogenic globe and check valves, as well as its unique FLIV (float level isolation) valves, for ten LNG Carriers currently under construction at the shipyard, with this latest order completing the hat trick for the company.

President Engineering Group Ltd has won the prestigious award for ‘Manufacturer of the Year’ in the finals of the British Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Chamber Awards 2014.

Bestobell Marine, part of the President Engineering Group, is celebrating after securing a major new contract with Hudong Zhongua shipyard in Shanghai.
The new contract is to supply cryogenic globe and check valves and Bestobell’s unique Float Level Insulation Valves (FLIV) for use on the four Teekay shipping vessels to be chartered by BG Group.
This latest order takes the total number of Chinese vessels using Bestobell’s valves to 14, helping the company secure its position as a major supplier of cryogenic globe and check valves for Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers (LNGC) in China.
